The relationship between a therapist and client is key for successful outcomes so it is natural you may want to know a bit about me.

Jacinda DoogueI have had a number of personal struggles in my own life and I have benefited from the support of skilled therapists who have helped me be more at home in myself and consequently in my relationships.  I know each of us have the resources, the life energy within us to flourish, even in times of difficulty, and my wish is to help you discover yours.

I have 20 years experience helping individuals and organisations develop their capability; working in consultant, practitioner, and leadership roles. I understand the relational challenges of workplaces. I have been in private practice for six years, working in person in central Wellington and via video and phone.

Qualification wise I have a BSC in psychology, a post-grad diploma in management, and I am certified in: Satir Systemic Transformational Therapy, NLP (Neuro-linguistic Programming), and Wholebody Focusing Oriented Therapy. I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing and coaching and meditation.  I am currently working towards full certification as a psychotherapist.

I am a professional member of the International Focusing Institute; of IARPP; a provisional member of NZ Association of Psychotherapists, and I have weekly training supervision with a psychotherapist.
